Every pool is an account in Pools. Every stop is a row in Service visits with the readings taken there. Anything broken becomes a row in Repairs. Chemicals tracks what the trucks carry.
A route day
Each tech opens My stops on a phone. The Today's route view lists every stop for the day.
At each pool: test, clean, dose, then enter the readings on the visit and press Mark complete. The Water check fills itself.
If the gate is locked or a dog is out, set the visit to Could not service and say why. The office calls the customer the same afternoon.
Anything broken goes in Repairs from the pool's New repair button, with a photo of the model plate.
The office's day
Morning: clear Missed stops on the Dashboard. A missed weekly stop in summer can turn a pool green in four days.
Afternoon: price the repairs found on route and send the quotes. Quoted repairs show under Waiting on the customer.
Friday: check Chemicals for anything at or below its reorder point.
Missed stops first, then pools whose water needs attention, then repairs waiting on a yes from the customer.

Clean water is a chemistry problem first and a cleaning problem second. These are the numbers the techs aim for and what to do when a reading is off.
Target ranges
The number that predicts algae
Stabilizer protects chlorine from the sun, but too much of it slows chlorine down. The Chlorine to stabilizer column divides free chlorine by stabilizer. Keep it at 7.5% or more. Below that, a pool can read some chlorine and still grow algae, which is exactly what happened at the Okonjo pool: 0.5 ppm chlorine over 90 ppm stabilizer, under 1%.
Stabilizer only leaves the water by draining. When it passes 90 ppm, quote a partial drain rather than adding more chlorine every week.
Dosing order
Adjust alkalinity first; it holds pH in place.
Then pH, with acid poured slowly in front of a return jet.
Then chlorine. Liquid chlorine raises pH a little, so dose acid and chlorine on opposite sides of the pool.
Never mix chemicals in the same bucket, and never add water to acid.
Hard water here
Our tap water already carries a lot of calcium, so calcium hardness creeps up all year. Keep pH at the low end of the range in summer and brush the tile line every visit. Salt cells scale fastest; inspect them monthly and clean with a weak acid wash when the plates show white crust.
What gets written down
Every reading taken goes on the visit row, together with the cost of what was added. The office uses that cost to spot pools that eat chemicals, usually a sign of a leak or a stabilizer problem.
A green pool is a sales call and a job at the same time. Price it as a separate cleanup, not as part of the weekly rate, and set the customer's expectations before the first dose.
Before you quote
Can you see the bottom step? If not, the cleanup will take three to five visits.
Test stabilizer. Over 90 ppm, the cleanup starts with a partial drain, or the shock will not hold.
Check the filter and pump. A clogged cartridge or a weak pump will keep the pool green whatever you add.
The cleanup
Skim leaves and debris first; they eat chlorine.
Lower pH to 7.2 so the shock works harder.
Shock to about 40% of the stabilizer reading. At 50 ppm stabilizer that is 20 ppm free chlorine, and it must be held there until the water clears.
Brush every surface, then run the pump around the clock.
Clean the filter every day until the water is blue. A dirty filter puts the algae back.
Test again the next morning. If chlorine dropped by more than 1 ppm overnight with the cover off, algae is still alive; keep going.
