How to read the numbers
A room is booked only when it is on the Events table with a start time. Hallway promises are how double bookings happen.
Steps
Check the Rooms table for capacity and the Events calendar for the same hour.
Add an Event, link the room and set the start time and expected attendance.
For a rental, send the house rules and agree the rate before pressing Confirm.
Add volunteer roles for setup, hosting and clean-up.
Rules of the house
Leave the kitchen cleaner than you found it.
Candles, open flames and amplified sound need the facilities steward's approval.
Keys go back to the office the same day.
A first visit is a question: is there a place for me here? The follow-up answers it.
The first week
Add a Household row from the visitor card within two days.
Send a short, personal note from the contact person.
Invite them to one small thing, not everything.
The first month
Check in by phone once without asking for anything.
Introduce them to a host family or small group.
When they say they are ready, press Mark member.
Care works when it is steady, private and shared across a team so one volunteer is never carrying it all.
Taking a request
Write what the person asked for in their own words, with their permission.
Pick a volunteer who is a good fit and press Mark scheduled.
After the visit, add two lines of notes and press Mark done.
Privacy
Share health details only with the people directly caring for them.
Never put sensitive details in an event or role row.
Ask each person how they would like to be contacted.
