Write the recipe first
List every stem, every piece of greenery, the container and the extras: ribbon, foam, the care card. Look up each stem's Cost per stem in Stems and cooler and add it up. That total goes on the order as Flower and supply cost.
The markup
Fresh flowers are marked up three and a half times: the Priced in a design at column on each stem does that sum for you. Containers and hard goods are marked up two times. Labor is already inside the flower markup for everyday work; for sympathy and event pieces that take more than an hour, add a design fee.
The check
The Cost of goods on each order divides the flower and supply cost by the price. Keep it at 33% or less. The Pricing check marks anything over that.
When the customer names a price
Waste
Every stem that dies in the cooler is cost with no price. Keep Stems on hand honest, buy twice a week instead of once, and use the oldest stems first in everyday work. Vase life tells you which stems to sell first: peonies and delphinium before eucalyptus and ruscus.
Consultation
Use the Wedding consultation template on the event row. Ask for the budget before showing anything. Count every piece: bouquets, boutonnieres, ceremony arch, centerpieces per table. The Guests and Centerpieces numbers drive the flower order later.
Proposal
Send it within three days and move the event to Proposal sent. Build it from recipes, exactly like a daily order, and keep the flower and rental cost under a third of the total. Rentals such as arches, urns and candles cost money too; put them in the cost.
Deposit
A date is only held once 30% is paid. Press Mark deposit paid on the row: it moves the event to Booked and stamps the date. Balance due shows what is left; collect it two weeks before the wedding.

After
Move the event to Delivered and set. Collect rentals the next morning. Compare the real flower spend with the budget on the row; if a wedding ran over, the next proposal for that venue or that size should be priced higher.
